Not sleeping lately so i have been looking up some of the stuff my t has been talking about lately. Initially, he said he thought i had ptsd but changed to cptsd so i was looking up treatments because he is talking about us really starting more 'work' related to progress. He asked me if i had a preferred method of addressing things and I told him to decide. I don't even want to know or think about it until i have to actually start living it. I have started wondering what it might look like because he said our appointments will go to 2 hours and he wanted to do 3 days in a row.
I trust him, so i am not questioning what he is doing, i am just wondering and noticed when searching around that there is a lot of talk about cptsd and ptsd being treated differently but not a lot of suggestions on best therapy methods for the cptsd. From what i read and what i try to connect with what he has said makes me think he is going toward what i read as exposure therapy.
Any insights into either that or what other things might await me? Lol
I know I can just ask him, he actually has tried to talk about plans a couple of times and I try to stop him. Difference is, we here can only speculate and then I can keep myself from freaking out as much because I can not be CERTAIN as i would be if he tells me in detail, but i can also consider some possibilities at the same time. Clear as mud?? Lol.
We are still a few weeks away from really beginning, so just curious if others thoughts.
