Current T's office has one of those domed cameras at slightly higher than eye level when sitting down. It's hanging from the wall behind one of the armchairs (placed in a circle) and I can see it from the corner of my eye. I'm not too bothered by it because I doubt it records sounds plus I understand the need to protect the T's safety in cases of violent clients but it kind of unnerves me a little to know that there's quite literally an (electronic) eye watching me even when I'm supposed to be alone with T? Current T works in a community centre so I guess all the rooms are equipped with CCTVs so it could be otherwise in private or campus practice, as my ex-T did not have an ostensible one.
