I'm not sure what the common course of treatment is but i've been mostly looking into Somatic Experiencing (SE) for the main goal of releasing trauma but i've come across some others like Internal Family Systems i think it's called which also seems very helpful and interesting

it's hard to find information on c-ptsd since many people aren't aware of it since it's not actually in the DSM and is mostly a proposed diagnosis... but then again anything to do with childhood trauma/long term trauma/emotional trauma feels like it's all way behind everything else because no one wants to look at it and admit how common it is

from what i've heard pdoc's seem to diagnose c-ptsd instead of a personality disorder because it's "less stigmatizing" but also because it allows much more room for diagnosis whereas the diagnosis of a personality disorder is fudgin weird and rigid and yeah idk

not everyone with trauma develops a personality disorder but all personality disorders are from trauma

so whereas a personality disorder for many seems like a life sentence and just a basic "flaw" of them and their personality that they can never fix, coming at it from a ptsd angle and from one of trauma, where our symptoms are products of an overworked nervous system, overrun by the undischarged energy stored in our bodies from our trauma

now we've just got to release that trauma, the same way animals do (with SE or something similar that works for you )
