I don't think the government can transmit thoughts to us, but our friends, family and even strangers can. Our culture triggers all kinds of thoughts in us. And TV, even after we turn the TV off, continues to influence our thoughts. I have had jingles from commercials come up in my dreams, too. Sometimes commercials that i saw when I was very very young. You may be an ESP like me, lol...Extra Sensitive Person. We pick up on others' feelings and thoughts so easily that it becomes troublesome. Working on having strong boundaries might help...
