Although I dont usually visit this particular forum too often because it it a huge trigger for me I can offer you one tip.
Cover up.......I use a green cover stick from(covergirl....how ironic)blend it into the cut,or mark 'then put a base overtop and blend....the base can be in compact form or liquid.
Its not sure fire.......a shirt covering is better however it is much less noticable.......good luck Direction
