Walmart, KMart and Target all have $4 Rx programs that cover certain meds. I don't know if Effexor is on it but you could call or check their web sites.

Could you visit a doctor locally and ask for samples?

Call your local hospital can help with meds or a connection to a program or provider. If your community has a mental health treatment community center call and tell them your situation and see if they can help or refer you somewhere.

** If you find you have to go off the Effexor, do it gradually with a doctor's advice to avoid very unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
