Best wishes, Patty. Lots of good ideas, here. I once placed a dog that was chewing the doorframes during thunderstorms in a home in a different part of the country. She was a runner and escape artist, too, and they didn't watch her like I did. So within months she had died under the wheels of a car. I would have preferred to have had her humanely euthanized in my arms than that fate. When your dog is out running, her fate can be crueler than humane euthanasia.
