Hooligan is in the right of this, and one way to start is to have a plan for the assignment so you can see clearly what you have to do in individual chunks, that way it does not seem to be so fearful. If it is any consolation it is much easier to write several pages than try and condense into 250 words as I have to do so much in my job.
