The interview was 50 minutes away from where I live (it was with a staffing agency so this isn't the place where I would actually be working), I diligently wrote down the directions. I made it to the town I was supposed to be in, but got totally lost looking for a street and ended up all turned around. By this point it was already 5 minutes before the interview was supposed to start. I called my interviewer and left a message asking for directions or that we could reschedule because I was lost and wasn't familiar with the area. I had to pull over into a gas station and compose myself because my anxiety was through the roof at this point, because my phone was dying (it was on it's last bar and had only a few more mins left before it shut down) and I didn't quite know how to get back home other than my hand written directions.

I finally made it back home, feeling very disappointed with myself. I made sure to leave early today, I made sure to write the correct directions (I don't have a gps), I made sure to plug in my phone last night before bed and for some reason the battery still drained very fast.

I came home almost in tears because I really wanted to ace this interview.
Maybe it's just not meant to be.
