After 8 wonderful years of total stability due to some devastating traumas about 2 years ago I became depressed again. I awake depressed and by evening it is either gone or much reduced. My pdoc says he can't increase my meds (Wellbutrin, LamictaL & Cymbalta) because at my age it could cause seisures). When I asked him what I could do he said to wait a month, see what happens and call him back. I don't see this as a medical approach to the problem. Would you accept the wait and see attitude of the pDOC?
I am seeing a new therapist and I question her experience in helping people wth BP. What do you look for in an effective therapist?
