Tigertoo, most of the time, for me when my pdoc asked me to wait that long, it was because he had just changed my meds or made a dosage change. He wanted to give the new med or dosage time to take effect. I am really not sure why your pdoc is asking you to wait a month. I would ask them what their reasons are. If their reasons just don't sit well with you, I would look for another pdoc. I would call back and ask. Sometimes we need to be very proactive in getting help.

Sometimes it takes a while to know if therapists are right for us. I am still wondering about mine but I don't have many choices, so I am still hanging with mine. If you have given this therapist a good chance and you have other choices, then I don't see a problem with trying a new one. I would ask this therapist what their approach is when it comes to your treatment just as I would ask that pdoc.

Best wishes and remember that you are in the driver's seat and you know yourself better than anyone.
