Hi Gem! While that site is interesting, it too, is misleading IMO. The heritage of the American Pitt Bull includes many of those that are also pictured. The "American" Pitt Bull is not a pure breed. IDK if the documentation against ownership of pitt bulls is reserved for "American" only...but the entire "breed."

I lived by someone with a pitt bull for many years, and the dog was sweet unless he saw a stranger, then he was very difficult to control
