You're not doomed but you do need to start working or get your GED. My ex dropped out of high school, worked as a chef in multiple kitchens, then worked as a ski instructor on a mountain cabin resort, then decided to go into the military (he got his ged before joining) and now he's very successful in the military, he's part of a very specialized team that very few men have the privilege of saying they're apart of.
So you just need to take the necessary steps to make opportunities for yourself. Other people have been in your situation, but it's not easy, it's up to you and only you to be successful.
