If it makes you uncomfortable - it's bullying to you. You are in a tough situation.

I am a pretty friendly person but I am also very strong. If someone crosses the line.. I usually can diffuse the situation with humor while making a point. Maybe the counselor is trying to help you look at it in a different light - so you do not have to worry about losing your job or looking for a new one - that does not make it right!

Not sure if other employees are feeling the same way you are. If he is a valued employee...it gets tricky.

You may consider going to your HR dept... but beware, they are not always fair, although.. if others are feeling like you do... the company will not want to worry about being sued. You also may have to consider looking for a different job - or transfer - not sure if there are other positions within the company that do not require you to be around this vp.
