I do, and like you, I have to make a conscious effort not to let it get me down. I'm single and struggle with depression and health problems and well, let's just say that my social network could be larger.

I often find out later that on those days when my friends weren't around that they had a rotten day - the sale of their rental house fell through, they slipped on the ice in their driveway, their spouse had a addiction relapse, their dog was seriously ill.

Even though I'm not glad that they had those things happen to them, if I find out what was going on with them, it helps me to keep a more open mind about what might be the reason if they are not available.
