Thank you for your comments battledepression. I rarely discuss my experience with ECT as I have found people have very strong opinions on it. I do not care to involve myself in the battle of whether it is "good or "bad". All I know is it most likely saved my life.
I have been having successful ECT for over 2 years now. It is nice to hear from someone else who has had it more than what I have read to be the recommended amount. My psychiatrist said that there is no real set number of treatments. Everyone is different.
I also had treatments many years ago that were not as successful as they are today, but was willing to try it again when it was recommended. It is not a treatment for everyone, but definitely worth trying in my experience.
