I was at a huge St Patrick's day celebration years ago in a completely different state from where I live and it was impossible to find a taxi to go back to the hotel. I was with two other friends yet I walked up to a guy on a motorcycle with an empty backseat and asked for a ride to my hotel. He said yes, I got on and happily waved goodbye to my friends who stood there looking astonished. We were following his friends on their motorcycle and stopped at a convenient station. Once there I asked if they were from the area. They laughed, we were now in another state. He did drive me to my hotel and I ended up safe, luckily.

Another time I got angry at all of my friends and walked out on a gathering without saying goodbye. Began walking the 5 miles home at 1am. Ten minutes into my walk a guy who was the manager at Popeyes pulled over and asked if I wanted a ride home. I accepted and let him drive me to my actual address AND the whole ride told him how I was moving in two weeks (I actually was) then invited him to my going away party.
