I get classical music that doesn't exist. This happens only during mania. Sometimes for variety I'll hear staticky voices over the radio, like when it's between stations.

It's not unusual to have a bipolar diagnosis changed. I started out BP-NOS and wound up BP 1 as the picture of my bipolarity evolved over time. But a good doctor will treat the symptoms, not a label, so I wouldn't worry so much about how your meds will change; they may not change at all.
