Think back to when you first started getting social security checks. Your first check came in the month after you accrued the benefit. Everyone gets their February check in March.

Now, anyone who is getting their part B premium paid for through their state's Medicaid (as I do, also) gets their social security check on the 3rd of the month. You should have received a letter telling you that.

So your state reimbursed you for a couple of months that you paid that part B premium yourself. I got that too. But they didn't reimburse me for one of the months, which may be how it works. The state will pay the federal government on your behalf for that part B premium. So your social security check will start coming with nothing deducted out of it.
