Hello Blockade Runner,

It's not always a bad thing to get a diagnosis, infact it can help you to realise that you have a disorder that you can work with and learn to cope with. You are not alone, many people have mental health issues and yes we do learn to cope with it. I know you are probably in shock right now but actually you are on the right road. Your psychiatrist will look into medications that may help and you can get psychotherapy to help also so you'll get support. Sharing here can help also yes, talking with others with similar issues.
