There could be a number of factors involved as to why your ears are still sore so long after the even and you have a metallic taste in your mouth.

I really would not want to give advice on something that I myself have personally not experienced incase there is a little bit of something going on here that we are not qualified to point out - we don't have medical training.

I'd suggest you see a doctor if this continues to be a concern.
