I agree with you. An alter who denies having DID is also denying their own existence! It can happen whatsoever, Allie sometimes shows denial symptoms - in fact, Allie originally appeared as a "placeholder" onto which someone held when someone didn't know who they were, but now she's got her own personality and is one of the more problematic alters due to her bipolar disorder.
