When you wrote to them and spoke to them, what did they tell you? Did they say that they would re-bill your insurance with the correct diagnosis?
Have you checked with your insurance company to see if they have received a new claim with a different diagnosis code for the visit?
As far as not being able to get a new prescription, I don't know. You'd have to ask who you need to talk to about that. The p-doc I used to go to was in a group practice and they had a person who was in charge of prescription matters.
I think you definitely need to talk to your insurance company, though, and find out if they have heard from your doctor's office.
