Does God love us as much when He leads us through bad, sad, hard times, as when he allows us to enjoy successful times with money to enjoy the finer things in life?

I believe He loves us just the same, but because we are so fleshly, it is so much easier to believe He loves us more in the good times.

What does everybody else think?
