I'm just here to provide moral support to IT with some anecdotal evidence. I have been bitten by lizards. They can be aggressive in mating season. So his story is almost plausible and I give him the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes the cute little creatures can be the ones you have to beware of. I was attacked by a squirrel once. This happened between my wannabe rock star days and my almost rock star days. I was painting the stairway of a garage apartment when I heard a commotion several trees away. I looked to see what it was and saw the squirrel looking intently at me. Suddenly he charged. If you've never been charged by a small angry furry thing tearing through the tops of trees you wouldn't understand the terror this can induce. I ran into the apartment and slammed the screen door behind me with only seconds to spare. The squirrel hit the screen with a violent force that almost shook the building. I looked back to see this vicious little creature splayed against the screen seething with anger and rage and frustration at being separated from his prey by that flimsy screen door. He was gnashing his teeth and staring at me with murder in his beady little eyes. I wasn't entirely convinced that the flimsy screen would hold up against such a determined and violent creature regardless of his size. It was terrifying and traumatizing.
So I have an open mind here. IT could be telling the truth.
