Hello, my girlfriend's family's dog had to be put down. This happened on thursday. She was a border collie also and her name is "Millie"
I'm soo sorry for your lose. Animals/pets are like family/friends/loved ones. I hope you will recover from this.
And like you said, she will stay in your heart forever. You will always have the memories, photos, etc. She lives on in your heart and memories.
