It sounds like the trauma of that incident had an effect on you. It might have triggered some other event inside.

Have you thought of talking to a therapist about this?

I am anxious so I set two alarms so I don't get stuck in traffic.

Getting sleep may be the single one thing that keeps me in balance. If you are not sleeping or having bad side affects, contact your doctor and tell them what is happening so they can suggest something to help.

I find that mindfulness (meditation without the religion) and breath awareness help me cope with stress.
