T said something interesting.. I asked him why he thought I hadn't progressed past my suicidal ideations, and actually they are worse than before I started therapy. So, I went on to name things that I probably could be doing to help that. And he said, "well.. when I see a client not progressing I look at myself and wonder why I am doing wrong."
That threw me.. because as much as T can change his approach, refer us to somebody else, hospitalize us. They can't make us change our way of thinking. I kind of felt bad actually because I think my T is doing a great job!
