I'm on SSDI. I was approved for bipolar disorder and anxiety. Both my original application and appeal were denied and I had to go to a hearing with a judge. It only took the judge 10 minuets after witnessing my behavior under stress to approve me on the spot. The judge also took into consideration my GAF score (Global Assessment of Functioning) and the side effects of my meds. The whole process took 2 years.
