I'm sorry to read that you are not so good and having the need to calm things down with food, it's a real catch 22 and as you said, eating to ''cure'' our emotions, happiness and sadness, never really makes us feel better. It's only that few moments on the lips we like, not the lifetime on the hips, which is what eating when you are not genuinely hungry will do. Yes, it's very easy for me to say, but after 33 years of ED's I sure DO understand your problems. I wonder if there's anything else you could do instead of eating, especially when you're manic. When I've been manic in the past, I've not been able to eat, the mania tends to render me too busy to stop for food. Is this a new thing or have you been doing this for a while? Sorry to ask, but I'm just wondering how you got to this point of wanting food to act like a sedative. Take care and if you feel you need help, could you run it by your Dr/GP. HUGS. xxx[/SIZE]
The pain is the pain of many mistakes and hurtful experiences. There are good moments too but the pain seems to predominate. I am trying to deal with the struggles as they come but the hurt is bigger .
