Great article: How our emotions transform mundane events into strong memories

Explains how we can strengthen weak memories as well as make memories out of emotion-laden events.

I've always had an almost photographic memory, friends and family are often amazed when they're trying to remember something and I can give enough details that they are better able to remember. Sometimes though it has felt like too much and I use to get anxious when I did not remember as much as I thought I should. With therapy though I was able to give up the need to remember in such detail, like my life depended on it :-) and though my memory is still good and I respect and use it, I don't get quite so anxious if I have to wait to remember something or if I don't get the detail I want, etc.
