First off let me say I have never lived where there was actually a winter. We've always had sweat and sweatier type weather. On those rare occassions when it did snow the mayor declared a holiday. One time when the ground turned white with a dusting of snow everyone had to take a week off from work (snow days).

Winter is a time of rest, peace, quiet, hibernation. Nature's time out. It can have a very calming effect.
