And why is it your responsibility to pay your parents way if they have a financial crisis? They are adults they can file for bankrupcy or apply for government help if they need to...sounds like you already have enough on your plate without being their keeper. If your parents needed help and you have extra money or whatever to help them out great...but beyond that its not your responsibility...it is ok to say no to giving them money. Also from the sound of it they are a bit irresponsible with money and expect you to be some kind of back up for every time they f*** up...well I think you ought to stop that, clearly you have your own expenses to worry about.

I have loaned my dad money, but he always pays me back and is ok to take no for an answer if I cant.
