Due to an episode in February (and a past episode 5 years ago), my doctor put me on Lamotrigine for "probable epilepsy w/out intractable". I'm now taking 200mg a day (100mg morning and night). Before I started taking it I wasn't entirely stable with my emotions and my long-term judgment making decisions. But now that I've been on Lamotrigine for 2 months I feel more stable emotionally. I've read that many people who took Lamotrigine for epilepsy had the opposite effect and actually became depressed or unstable. Because I'm having positive experiences, could this mean something else is wrong with me that isn't diagnosed?
