It's not a stimulant. It's mechanism of action I guess you could think of as stimulating maybe. It's a selective norephinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It doesn't reuptake serotonin at all. Wellbutrin is a dopamine and norephinephrine reuptake inhibitor. Stimulants work by increasing norephinephrine and dopamine release and by blocking reuptake of dopamine and norephinephrine so it works partially like a stimulant, but not all the way if that makes sense.
