So sorry for your loss! I had to have my baby Polly put to sleep about 6 years ago, and I still miss her every day. I got her as a kitten when I was 5 years old, so she was always a part of my life for as long as I can remember really.

It's hard, but it's a fact of life that none of us will last forever. Just try to remember all the good times, and be glad you got to share in them with your fur baby. Hugs.
