Thank you!! This information is extremely helpful and makes me much less worried about trying EMDR. I am hopeful that it might help me with issues from early childhood that would take much longer to sort through with traditional CBT like I've been doing. I love my current therapist (who does not do EMDR but thinks I might benefit from it) and am hoping that during EMDR with someone else I can still keep seeing her for my weekly therapy sessions. I've become really attached to this therapist.
