seroquel takes a while to build up in your system so while it is possible that the side effects were side effects from the medication it is also possible that they are unrelated. if you are concerned about them then could you contact the person who prescribed the medication and check with them?
i would say that you would need to take it for at least a week for your body to adjust to the medication. i know that when i started taking seroquel i felt quite 'cloudy' and 'foggy' the next day. things were like that for a week until my body adjusted to it and then that side effect went away.
i'm not sure what you mean by 'excessive thirst'. we are meant to drink... something like three litres of water a day so if you felt the need to do that then that doesn't really constitute an 'excessive' thirst. if you drank a lot more liquid than you normally drink then that could well explain the frequent urination... it takes a while of increased water consumption for your body to get used to it and stop trying to flush your system (so you need to go to the bathroom regularly).
is it summer where you are? do you have some sunglasses?
