Has anyone gone through an insurance appeal and been successful? I'm considering trying for a treatment that isn't covered by my insurance but it's expensive so I really would need for them to make an exception and cover it in order to try it.

I know my doctor is willing to do the paperwork to see if we can get it covered, I'm just not sure how successful these kind of things are.
