I had just been dealing with a few years of anorexia right before menopause hit & it hit at the time I left my H after 33 years of a bad marriage & I had moved from Calif (dry desert heat) 2100 miles away to hot humid KY heat. Hadn't had a period for years so I thought that the sweats were JUST the new hot humidity I was living it. Only lasted on & off for about a year. I was so busy taking care of my farm that I didn't have that much time to think about what my body was dealing with so it was over with before I really ever knew it started.

Only time I get similar sweats now is when I'm running a temp & it breaks or right after my oral surgery 2 weeks ago, every time I would lay down to sleep I would wake up ringing wet....guess my body was trying to heal...don't think I was running a temp but couldn't put anything in my mouth to take my temp anyway......when I really get exhausted after the surgery & crash in bed, I find my body ends up reacting the same way that it did during menopause but not the rest of the time.....

Definitely NOT fun because I always end up feeling like the only thing I can do is take a hot shower in the middle of the night to stop the chills from sweating so bad. Just glad menopause is over even though I barely knew it was there in the first place.
