NN - SSRI doses do plateau at a certain point, but that plateau is different for different people. A dose of 80mg of Celexa is rather high, but maybe give it a week or two. If you don't notice a difference then, ask your doc if he/she thinks a slow lowering of dose may be of some benefit. Sometimes lowering an SSRI dose after the drug has "pooped-out" the drug starts working again. If your doctor thinks that this method may be worth a try, you could decrease your dose (over a period of a couple months) back down to 40mg or 50mg.

Make sure that you consult with your doctor on this, as he/she should monitor your progress. It is near impossible for one to monitor oneself objectively; you need someone with experience to oversee your lowering of dose.
