perhaps you (all) can write about it and/or draw out your memories. Then (like they say in Tangled, the Rapunzel movie) "You get to find a new dream". Not to be corny or to say what you're going through isn't important - it is. But it also gives you the freedom to build a new present... make new memories. Find a new special bench, maybe in a park, or on an old log or neat boulder... or a spot in the sun. And gives the opportunity to create a new inner landscape as well.
