I can really relate to this! I don't give out our names until I've been with a therapist for a while - or my best friend. Because just like (snap!) that, with the name, they'll switch in. Drives me nuts. My last therapist did it a lot. I knew her for 4 months. Even their nicknames (which was what she had) now cause a switch. Grrrr. Frustrating. 3 are working on name changes... that might help. But it's so ingrained, that may not be possible.
