Oh yes, you're so right about the thyroid affecting a person emotionally. My thyroid is totally non-functional(advanced Hashimoto's disease) and sometimes even with the meds I take they just don't work as well as a functioning thyroid does..... so the downs can sometimes be hard to get a grip on
