I can't say that it is the worst thing to have a boyfriend during this healing process but you must be prepared for the damages we can cause people by our frequent mood swings its very difficult for someone without Bp to really understand it isn't their fault in my opinion. If you do decide to go through with dating him which you should if you feel he is someone that could go on this journey with you I don't think it would be a bad idea to inform him what Bp is and how it affects you and maybe some warning signs. Just don't give up what you want because of Bp the right person will stand by you
I'm unsure, he knows about BP seen as he's a doctor but once when we were discussing the topic of mental illness the conversation drifted to BP and his opinion was that people with BP will remain crazy for a lifetime. He doesn't know i have BP of course but that opinion sort of stung a little.
