Personally I would not want a psychiatrist to diagnose me straight off. Psychiatric diagnoses take time to determine, and a patient is always more complex than a simple label. I would view it as a good sign that she wants to wait until she has seen the results of the tests.

Please tell her if you are not safe, though. You need to get adequate help for that.
