Thank you for all your replies.

I received my IV hydration today. They couldn't fit me into the Emergency Room, so I was sent to something called the "Ambulatory Care" Department. To my shock, I was put in with the chemotherapy patients.

I was asked to sit in a recliner, offered a pillow, blankets and something to drink. Then a lady hooked me up and told me if I needed anything at all, just to let her know.

I sat there for hours watching people who were so ill patiently sitting in recliners getting their chemo. The lady who sat next to me had already had cancer and chemo, only to need a special kind of chemo for arthritis.

As salt water dripped into my veins I watched the most cheerful, kind and loving nurses work with a 90 something year old lady who hit them, kicked them and spat upon them because she could not understand where she was or what they were doing.

I hadn't eaten breakfast and to my utter shock the receptionist came and took orders for lunch from everyone. I explained that I had money in my purse, and she looked and me and said, "Honey, did you really think we were going to let you go hungry?"

One of the elderly ladies cried because her chemo treatment would be done and she would be gone by the time lunch came. She got to stay and eat with her friends.

I have no words to express how blessed I am. I was reminded of it yesterday and I was shown it explicitly today. I also know if my biopsies would by some chance turn out postive, exactly where I want to go for my chemo.
