I have bipolar disorder and I've been trying to get my pdoc to evaluate me for adhd because I really think I have 90% of the signs and symptoms. But as in your case he's too focused on the bipolar side of things to give the adhd evaluation a second thought. I don't even want to be on a stimulant because it might exacerbate mania but there are non stimulant treatments. He just keeps saying to get an adhd workbook and go through it on my own. But I work full time and go to college and have at least 3 appointments a week. I spend about 30 hours a week studying because it's so hard for me to focus. So when am I supposed to do this stupid workbook that I can't even afford. Sorry just venting.
