No, you are not stupid. You are a lovely person. You did not ask for what happened to you so the origin is not your stuff. I think that's what your T is trying to say. When those feelings of guilt come around, it's hard not to make their stuff our stuff, but it's not.

I know things are hard for you right now but please know that it will begin to settle down as you worth through these tough feelings. And remember that we are all here for you.
