I actually think xanax is evil. I wish I'd never been put on it. I metabolize medicine very fast, so when I was on it I'd take one, and it would wear off an hour later, and I was/am dependent on benzos, so I'd have withdrawal in between doses. And it really does have abuse potential because it does feel really good. I will admit I was abusing it when I was on it. I think it's good though if you have a panic disorder.

Clonazepam on the other hand... ZERO desire to abuse it, and I can take one, lasts four hours (because I metabolize medicines very fast), and then take just one more before bed, and I'm totally fine. For me there's no high when I take it. I forget about it, until all of a sudden forty five minutes later I feel really calm.

And I'm on 300mg of seroquel (not sure how much you're on? Was it 200?), and that helps a lot with my anxiety.

I take lamictal as well. I take that at night, and it actually wakes me up a little bit. I think one of the side effects of it is insomnia? I can't remember. Not that I have insomnia issues.

Anyway, just don't do xanax. You will regret it. It is evil. And I was told clonazepam is better if you have generalized anxiety issues.
